Saved


After boxes of her memories & life were packed
and leaving for destinations unknown
boxes of clippings of younger, days
with ironed hair & red lipstick
love letters from a love long lost
buttons, charms, & sweaters

I looked into my pocket and realized
I saved the bell
that she used to ring
that once made me cringe
but now made me feel
lost
