Sunday

Proverbs 18:22

He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord.
Prayers of safety and a safe return of my great nephew, Arin, as he's deployed in the Navy. He and his beautiful wife, Kristen, (also in the Navy) very recently loss their baby girl at five month before she was born. I had the pleasure of giving them the gift of shooting their wedding this past September. To everything there is a season, turn, turn, turn.

Low Branch

God finds a low branch for the bird that cannot fly.” ~ Turkish Proverb

Post "Heart Day"/End of NaBlo

I have decided to drop the NaBloPoMo commitment of daily writing. I'm doing a crappy job of keeping up on the regular, so I'll just blog w/out obligation. There are some days when I don't get online at all, so the 'daily' goes out the window

James (son) blessed me w/six perfect carnations for V.Day. I'm surprised they make it home in tact; when he was  younger, I would sometimes get stems. Lol. The red soothes me.

D & I didn't exchange anything this year. We rarely do.

Love (NaBloPoMo (2/14/14)

I remember back in the day, this of valentine could have ecstatic or devastating results. Lol. Wishing you love not only today, but everyday.

Helpless (NaBloPoMo 02/14)

February 2, 2014: "Helpless"
Helplessness: that dull, sick feeling of not being the one at the reins. When did you last feel like that –- and what did you do about it?

I think I mentioned in an earlier blog that I was let from a job that I had at a church working with disabled men & women. I met all expectations of the job, however, they then wanted me to become a commercial van driver to transport clients.

As I suffer from anxiety, this was completely out of the question. I explained time & time again that I would not feel such taking on such task, yet my words fell on deaf ears. I was called in, given an excellent 90 review, but was released to 'for not having the ability to adapt.'

I never felt more helpless in my life. This is a job where it was constant instant gratification and love. I looked forward to going & drug me feet when time to leave. Anxiety is a real, paralyzing condition and for someone to look at me in such a way really hurt.

The only thing I could do was take it to God, accept it and realize that He has a different path for me. Trusting and believe.

Peace & light :-)

Sunday

"He sends forth springs in the valleys; they flow between the mountains" ~ Psalms 104:10
Something about the water moves me. I could sit near & watch it for hours. The movement, the sounds, the rushing, the certain path it flows in. And how amazing that something so soft has the power to take entire cities down, yet God is merciful and just.

Namaste :-)

Writing Room (NaBloPomo 02/2014)

Creative Room

Writing Room
Reading Room
February 1 ~Writing Room: A genie has granted your wish to build your perfect space for reading & writing; what’s it like?

Perhaps I could make the genie see my need for THREE wishes? Lol. The crafting room has natural light & plenty of organized spaces. It helps to have everything labeled & in their places. I find I buy 2/3 of the same things because I can't see what I already have;

My writing room would be only for computer related work; email, social media, etc. Again, the natural light got me, plus the bonus of a fireplace. Perfect.

My reading room - need I say more? I could see myself w/reading glasses, journals, paper, pens. And never leaving this spot.

NaBloPoMo, etc...

Live your life like it's golden!! ~ Jill Scott

1) I've decided to blow up this picture of our darling, Tuesday, into a 11x14 & post it in my room. She is the epitome of life, love and extreme happiness. She wears flowers in her hair, dances in circles, screams songs @ the top of her voice, claps & spins in happy circles, counts in Spanish, and embraces the pure love that flows through her. When I told my brother of my project, he said he prayed when she was born that she would do great things & bring happiness to others. Mission accomplished.

2) For reasons too stupid to go into, I've lost yet another job. I really loved this one; working @ the church w/disabled young men & women. I miss them so much. I'm two days into new unemployment. Clearly, God thought my time there was enough to serve my purpose. Being one to never overstay their welcome, I accept the change. I can't wait to see what He has for me next.

3) #2 rattled me a little. I instantly blamed myself & began the process of pity-party; I'm not worthy. None of this is true, of course, but the human part of me runs to those places. Hides from God, so to speak, instead of running to Him. I trust Him to lead me through all circumstances. Even though it took me to break out in a round of hives to realize it.

4) I've been really faithful to my card making & sending them out to my 'angels.' How cool is it to send cheer to a total stranger & get a reply of how grateful they are for my words? While it's bringing me cheer, the time I spend keeps me sane.

5) I'm ready to get business cards ordered for Cuppa "T" Photography. I post pictures daily @ Facebook with positive response. I'm now working on an order for a set of 10 note cards! Yes, the person could have very well bought blank note cards @ a store, but I'm glad they chose my creations.

6) I've committed to NaBloPoMo February 2014; subject - "Perspective", complete with daily prompts so I won't stray off the planet. I also read up on how to spread the word about the blog after posting. This is a must, otherwise, if not linked to another blog subject, your posts will sit unnoticed.

Until next time ~ Namaste.

Sunday

I [the Lord] will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you. Psalm 32: 8
This verse is very near my heart today as I ponder my path.

With the Lord blessing me with a job that I love completely, finances are somewhat different now. In a big way.

I pray deeply and keep the faith that God will work everything out as he instructs me and teaches me the way I should go.

With his almighty, amazing eye upon me.

Amen. :-)

"Live!!!"

And my official word for the upcoming New Year is:

"LIVE"

1live :verb \ˈliv\:to exhibit vigor, gusto, or enthusiasm

Maybe in some way, this can tie in with my bucket list at: http://bucketlist.org/list/traceykinohio/. :-)

Do you have a word that will be your mantra in 2014?

My Word

With the shut-down of a few of my favorite writing prompt sites, I've been on the hunt for a challenge/commitment. "Five Things Friday", Carry On Tuesday & "Sunday Scribblings" all called it a day.

I came across "#One Word 365" and decided I will 'declare' my word for 2014. I want it to be a word that has a true meaning for me; something I believe in strongly or something I need to do.

With so much down time for Holidays, I've been very reflective & am courage & strength to free the fears.
