Reminders

Love this from Pinterest. :-) When I first saw Pinterest, I thought, 'I don't need another site to take up more time,' but once I paid attention, I loved it. There are so many great ideas for anything you can possibly think of. I can't believe I see folks trade unkind words there (over Pinterest, for God's sake? Really?) But for the most part, I enjoy it. A nice place to dream. And take up time in a good way :-)

Giving thanks

 Happy Easter, all! I happened upon an Easter Egg Hunt during my walk yesterday. Lucky, lucky me!

 Complete with "Mr. Bunny."

 This one is my favorite. Painted plastic egg.

However, I bow my head & clasp my hands in prayer of thanks to our Savior for dying & rising on this day for us. He lives eternally, especially in my heart. Happy Easter to you and your families. Enjoy the day! :-)

Honored!!

I am honored to accept this award @ nomination from Sharon @ Chaos Ranch!!!! I truly appreciate the shout-out and am grateful to everyone that happens by here.

1. I am the 7th youngest of nine children
2. I am ambidextrous, but can only write with my left hand
3. I'm a pretty good basketball player
4. I'm a good cook
5. I always wanted to be a kindergarten teacher
6. I used to have a good singing voice & always wanted to be a back-up singer
7. I've always typed no less than 70wpm
8. I used to be a serious tom-boy
9. My mother sent me to charm school (scream!)
10. I used to be a clarinet band nerd & still have my original horn in my closet. Yeah... since high school. Freaky.

A Welcome Sight!

A true sign of Spring: Mr. Cardinal helping himself to the Morning Glory seeds

My camera's battery was charging; luckily this guy was hungry enough to hang around while I ran for it

I also discovered that he was using the vine for his nest preparation

I had to be very careful to aim out of the door as not to scare him

I couldn't take my eyes off him

I'm so glad he chose my bushes to feast on & to build his home with

I hope to see him more often this Spring/Summer. :-)

Reflect

Today I reflect on my thankfulness of seeing another Spring emerge.

And for the bright green glow all the trees take on with new growth

And the birds singing their morning and evening songs

And the way the blossoms and blooms..

...glow in the sunlight in thanks for awakening.
