Sunday

"Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends. ~ Revelation 3:20
The other day when leaving the house, I was approached by three young men. They were going door to door asking if anyone needed prayer. I told them I did and the four of us stood right there & they prayed for me. One young man then gave me a pamphlet inviting anyone & everyone to his home for worship and a meal. I was so touched & by their generosity. He lives right around the corner from me - 'the blue house w/the yellow pick up truck.' I knew it immediately. His 'church' is called "Radial Church' where folks rotate at each other's homes for worship and food. How great is that?

Now every time I turn the corner, my eyes immediately go to the blue house/yellow pickup & I smile. I smile at goodness, kindness, compassion, prayer, faith and trust. Blessings abound.

Amen :-)

    1. Lol! You are so right, Thoughts! In fact, when they approached me, my Sig.Other ran out of the house in defense! Then when he saw what was going on, he went back inside. Lol. Wish he would've joined us.

  5. What a blessing! I'd love it.. and should do it, too. Reach out more often, more easily to touch neighbors, neighborhood-ers.

    1. You can't imagine what an impact it makes, caryjo. At first, folks to be defensive at folks approaching them, but if they take the time to listen, you can see them melt before your eyes. There is another foundation that goes around locally passing out bags of groceries, praying & asking folks to join them. They came down my street last summer; gave me 2 bags of groceries, prayed for & with me, asked me to join them, then moved on. I cried like a baby! Jesus was SO present! :-)
